Praise and Worship

Young David's musical talent was recognized and recommended as the only musician who could play at the royal palace. The change of environment did not deter him. In fact he has greater challenges. The resident demonic spirits which were tormenting the king fled at the sound of his worship and not only that one day while he was still praising God king Saul, a accomplished soldier himself tried to pinned him to the wall of his courts with his javelin. On two different occasions the javelin failed to touch David. If David had deviated from his devoted lifestyle of praising God what would have happened? Firstly, he would also be tormented by the demonic spirits and secondly, he would have been killed by the king. His praise and worship drew the presence and anointing of God which not only protected the king but also his very own life. This is a live that every Bible believing Christians should be living. It is a beautiful life that has great benefit.
David has a personal devotion with his God with his beautiful harp. Dr. Adeboya a great man of God from Nigeria mentioned that worshipping God makes Him rise above everything. There was a wedding ceremony whereby the bridegroom fell dead and the congregation prayed for the groom for several minutes and still he was lying on the floor. The pastor ordered that they begin to praise God and raise him high. Whilst they were lifting up their voices the dead groom began to move his hands and rose up from the floor. God is raised up by the praises of His people. In every circumstance praise Him.
